Why RAM = Republicans Against Monarchy, quite simply to make clear this is not a blog platform for that form of Welsh Republicanism that also adores native Cymric Monarchy as much Politically as Historically. I am of course talking about the 'Cilmeri Garibaldi Republicans' and also the BC so called ''Socialist Republicans''.

I suspect the 6 August event (clashing with Wrecsam Eisteddfod) is being organised by those Wales Republicans more in tune with the 'British Republican Movement' rather than the WRM I of Cliff Bere and Pedr Lewis or of WRM II of Gareth ap Sion and Niel ap Siencyn. Possibly of some ideological left political postion of the WSRM/Cymru Goch II and definatly I suspect of same political pacifist Plant Crachach pandering position of Radical Wales followers of a general 'Usual Suspect' Metro Left Agenda rather than a pan Wales/Cymru Republican agenda. Quite easy to see from lack of interest in support from this direction for real Peoples Power and Peoples Protest recently by Powys Against Windmills at the Assembly. More possibly they are supporters of 'Turbine Treachery' aka Eco Colonialism = Green Imperialism. We shall see in due course as basically any true Wales/Welsh Republicanism will have issues of below in mind and campaigns against on line, yes?
Whatever, my cynical Cymru view aside I must say that such possible 'Usual Supects' New Wales/Welsh Republicanism is preferable to the 'Cilmeri Garibaldi Republicans' and the silliness of Balchder Cymru's Pretense ''Socialist Republicanism''. On the whole, I must admit that any true 'Welsh Republicanism', as of WRM I and WRM II is dead and buried with Pedr Lewis (see below Info regards Remembering Pedr Lewis). Thus if Cymru/Wales is ever to be under a 'Republican Regime' then that would be as even Iolo Morgannwg imagined - A 'British Republic' and that I imagine is a long way away and less likly to become so in Royalist England as such is a distant, very distant dream of any Welsh Republic. My real concern about the largelly South Wales 'Anglo - Welsh Left' is their so obvious 'South Wales' and England orientation with no real interest in other 'Welsh Issues' outside the South unless it's pandering to Plant Crachach Middle Class elitist Job Interest Campaigns - Am afraid the 'Brit Petticoats' are showing under the 'Welsh Skirt', you need to do better if wanting to seriously become a Pan Wales Radical Republican Movement as pretty soon you will be forced to face as a broad based Rural Revolt comes a knocking on your Devolution Door Down in Cardiff.
I do not know why 6 August has been chosen as a Republic Day? more appropriate would have been 21st June date of Iolo Morgannwg's Gorsedd on Primrose Hill, London or in association with David Williams at Caerffili

Whatever, my nagging doubts about this possible 'British Republicanism', I most definatly call upon all of Republican Mind in Cymru/Wales to support and have produced material here to motivate a specific Welsh Republicanism of the 'Old School', that of WRM I and WRM II though even I consider the WSRM as the better template. Much more preferable that something that just smacks of SEREN and the also disappeared Wales Social Forum, as soon as I see such which smacks of being in area to satisfy the 'Liberal Left' needs of Plaid and Plant Crachach I become weary of middleclass meddlings to a particular agenda but whose agenda?
Of course all Wales/Welsh Republicans can Commemorate the 1831 Insurrection annually as a stepping stone towards a Welsh Republicanism, as at least believed by Plaid Garibaldi Republican Poet Harri Webb.
