Sadly Iolo's Republicanism and potential of a Radical Gorsedd as a possible 'Invisible' Republican Government was to be overwhelmingly undone by the rise of Non - Conformity and thence a later Romantic Cultural Nationalism which still lingers on in Plaid Cymru and Cymdeithas yr Iaith Cymraeg. What of Cliff Bere's WRM I and later WRM II of Gareth ap Sion and Neil al Siencyn or the later WSRM of Robat ap Gruffydd and Tim Richards. Not bad attempts at building on the Republicanism of Iolo and other Welsh Dissidents but as for leaving a legacy, if that is in the beliefs of Mike Jenkins to be a poetic one coupled with Cardfiff Bay Republican 'Day Dreaming' then unfortunatly Welsh Republicanism as a long way to go unless one considers CYMRU SOFREN as a worthwhile alternative:
