On the strength of that and the cowardice of our Welsh Cultural Elite to do like wise, I say why not scrap the Welsh National Anthem and in it's place adopt John Lennon's Imagine, why not? In particular the words are possibly best suited for our pacifist but far from radical poets, I do not needs be mean that as a slurr on the song or pacifists as I would not oppose all nations adopting it has a national anthem but of course in their own languages. Wales should go first as it is obvious most Welsh - People, not least poets are far from being ready to wield any weapon in defence of Wales etc! etc! etc! The words of our national anthem mean little in the mouths of the majority of our people, do they? Then there's those New Years Honours:
